Introducing You to Worthing

So many books for you to enjoy in so many places

If you are lucky you were raised in a household where reading was a daily occurrence. Perhaps you were read to as a child, or now read to your own children. Whether you have been reading for a long time or have just recently discovered the pastime, you are sure to have been experimenting with different locations in which to read books. One of your favourite spots may be lounging on a bean bag sofa in your living room with a cup of tea. You may also love reading in bed before you fall asleep, on public transportation, at your kitchen table, in trees (as you did as a child), in parks, just about anywhere really. Everyone has their favourite reading spots. Some books seem more appropriate when read in different places. Mystery or suspense novels you may love to read in bed before falling asleep so that your dreams are action packed. You may enjoy reading non-fiction novels on the subway because they lend themselves well to being picked up and read for short periods of time.

Good fiction novels are great on the bean bag lounger or snuggled in the nook of a tree. Wherever you choose to read, make sure that you have good lighting. It is important not to destroy your eyes. There are great reading lights you can get for reading in bed so you don't disturb your partner. Sharing books with others can be really rewarding, especially with your children. It is never too early to start reading to children (even if they are still in the womb). Reading to your child from an early age will help to ensure that they become proficient and comfortable with reading and adopt it as a lifelong habit and friend. Many studies have been done to prove that reading to your kids while they are in the womb, even if they are advanced texts or novels, stimulates brain development. You may have already discovered the joys of reading in a bean bag sofa when you were pregnant, as it is so comfortable when you're carrying all that weight. It can be a really rewarding experience to read with your children and watch their reading skills develop and their love of books grow.

There are many clubs too where people will read the same novel or text and then get together to discuss it. This can be a really great way to share your reading experiences with others and to get more from the novels you read by taking the time to really think about them after you have finished. You may even want to get a set of plush bean bag furniture for your reading group so that you can all comfortably lounge while you discuss the books you've read. No matter where you read, what you read or with whom you read it is sure to be a relaxing and stimulating experience. The novels and non-fiction texts you read will stay with you for the rest of your life.
